Shop Bargello for Desi Clothes

I just discovered a really cute Pakistani clothing website called Bargello. According to their contact info, they have offices in the US, UK, and Australia. Very convenient for me and my fellow Desi Americans! Most sites I find tend to be located only in the UK or South Asia.

So Bargello has many types of dresses, ranging from anarkalis, sarees, kurtis, casual wear, and party wear to name a few. They have a section for dresses divided by price range and also a sale of the week link. Check out some of my favorite dresses below!

Begonia crinkle chiffon shalwar kameez with stunning embellishments.

Pastel pink raw silk lengha with Swarovski crystals.

Cyan crinkle chiffon shirt with raw silk bodice.

Olive and forest green banarsi jamawar shirt with red dip dye effects.

Light turquoise and gold crinkle chiffon anarkali top with embellished rawsilk bodice and hemline.

Red crepe silk shirt features heavy embellishments all over.

Shocking pink Katan silk shirt with antique gold Mughlai embellishments. My favorite!! Such a show stopper!

Lara = Generation of Dreams Barbie in Real Life

Lara Dutta posed for the November issue of Elle India, looking just like Mattel's Generation of Dreams Barbie. Love her!

Kareena on Vogue

Kareena Kapoor sizzles on the cover of Vogue (India) for December 2009. I'm absolutely crazy about this cover, she looks AMAZING.

Neil & Genelia Grace Filmfare

Neil Nitin Mukesh & Genelia D'Souza grace the December cover of Filmfare magazine. Kind of reminds me of the Edward & Bella duo. Doesn't Genelia look like Kristen Stewart here? (Minus the smile)

Michelle Obama In Naeem Khan

First Lady Michelle Obama graced the White House State Dinner on Tuesday, November 24, 2009 in a stunning gown designed by Indian designer Naeem Khan. How amazing does she look?

Revamped Desi Flair!

I have been horrible at updating Desi Flair--formerly known as Icy Jewels--so I decided that in order to give me a little incentive to update the blog, I would revamp the design and, obviously, the name. It took a while, but I finally settled on a design (for now, that is!). I'm loving the black and gold contrast and I hope you all like the changes! Please stay tuned for updates.
