Designer Vikram Phadnis' gorgeous collection was presented at Pune Fashion Week and sure enough took everyone's breath away. Inspired by classic hindi films such as Umrao Jaan (one of my favorite movies starring Rekha) and Mughal-e-Azam (starring the stunning Madhubala), the collection featured saris, anarkalis, and dresses. Silk and gold zari were key components in these amazing outfits.
"My collection was India through my eyes. It was all about everything that I get inspired by in this country. From films like 'Mughal-E-Azam' and 'Umrao Jaan' to places in Rajasthan," the designer was quoted saying.
