Being Human Fashion Show

All the A-list Bollywood glam dolls walked the ramp to support actor Salman Khan's Being Human fashion show. The theme of the show was "Fashion Through the Ages", as each actress sported an outfit an era circa 1920s to present time. The actresses included Kareena Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukerjee, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif, and Sushmita Sen. Here are the eras each lady represented:

• Preity kicked off the show in a classy black 1920s dress.
• Katrina went next, showing off a classy red  gown for the 1930s.
• Rani represented the 1940s wearing a traditional Manish Malhotra creation.
• Bipasha sported a sexy black gown with a slit for the 1950s.
• Karisma (my favorite) sashayed in a beautiful sari of the 1960s.
• Sushmita brought fun to the show in a printed multi-colored dress for the 1970s.
• Priyanka rocked the ramp paying homage to the Material Girl as she represented the 1980s.
• Kareena went for a sophisticated, sleek suit for the 1990s.

Katrina to Mimic Meena

Katrina Kaif has attempted to don Meena Kumari's Pakeezah look in a qawalli number (entitled "Wallah Re Wallah") in Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan, co-starring Akshay Kumar and guest starring Kat's ex-boyfriend, Salman Khan, for the song. While I absolutely love Katrina's outfit, I admit I'm appalled that the stiff and one-note actress is being tied with the likes of Meena and Madhuri Dixit (for another item number). Meena's Pakeezah to me represents grace and elegance, yet Katrina's lack of both make me wonder how the song will flow. Nonetheless, I'm sure Akshay and Salman will make the song a blast to watch, and maybe, just maybe, Katrina's stunning ghagra choli will allow her to put her guard down and loosen up.
